Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential behavioral support in a school setting near Waterford, MI. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), youll work with students exhibiting a diverse range of needs, from mild to severe behaviors, including those with aggressive tendencies. This full-time position runs through the end of the next school year, with placements and student ages to be confirmed.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification maintained through the BACB website
- Current RBT license in Michigan (absolutely no pending licenses)
- Experience and confidence working with children or adolescents exhibiting a variety of behavioral challenges, including aggressive behaviors
- Comfortable adapting strategies to meet students individual behavioral and educational goals
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative spirit, ready to work with school staff and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Support students exhibiting a range of behaviors, adapting techniques to ensure both safety and progress
- Collect and document behavioral data accurately to monitor student progress and inform ongoing strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school teams to foster an inclusive and supportive environment
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
