Job Description

Make a direct impact by supporting middle school students as a Registered Behavior Technician in a welcoming educational setting. This contract position, located near Waterbury, CT, offers a full-time schedule through the end of the school year. Youll dedicate your expertise and care to students in one assigned school, collaborating with a specialized team to nurture positive behavioral outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • Previous experience working with middle school-aged students is highly valued
  • Familiarity with data collection, documentation, and behavior intervention plans
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, specialists, and families
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and student safety at all times

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions tailored for middle school students
  • Collect and record data on student behaviors in alignment with instructional plans
  • Work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts and special education staff
  • Support students in group and one-on-one settings to foster social and academic growth
  • Assist in crisis prevention and de-escalation as necessary
  • Maintain organized records and communicate progress to relevant team members
