Job Description

Step into a rewarding role supporting students in an Autism Summer School program, located near Warren, MI. This contract position runs from July 7, 2026, through August 6, 2026, for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with autism. The schedule is Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to noon, making it ideal for those seeking a flexible, part-time role with a meaningful impact.

What Were Looking For:

  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or Paraprofessional with strong ABA experience
  • AA degree or higher, or Parapro certification paired with multiple years working with students exhibiting mild to severe behaviors
  • Experience working within school settings, particularly in programs supporting children with autism or special needs
  • Understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
  • Ability to collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and other support professionals
  • Calm demeanor, patience, and adaptability in responding to a range of student needs and behaviors

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under direction of supervising staff
  • Support students in classroom and group activities designed to enhance social, academic, and behavioral development
  • Track and document student progress and behaviors in accordance with program requirements
  • Communicate effectively with school staff and families to share updates and maintain coordinated support
  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive learning environment
