In this role, you will teach a small caseload of 510 students, focusing on lower-incidence disabilities. You will deliver individualized programs tailored to each students IEP, helping them develop functional academic knowledge, communication skills, independence, and readiness for life transitions.

What you bring:

• Valid Texas Special Education Teaching License
• Experience or strong interest in working with students who have lower-incidence disabilities
• Ability to collaborate with other educators, therapists, and family members
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication, organization, and adaptability skills
• Dedication to fostering independence and functional skill growth

What youll do:

• Deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals across functional academics, life skills, communication, and transition planning
• Develop daily lesson plans, track student progress, and adjust strategies to maximize student success
• Create an engaging, supportive classroom environment that addresses varied learning styles and abilities
• Work closely with support staff, families, and service providers to ensure a holistic approach
• Advocate for each students needs, promoting independence and enabling them to thrive
• Maintain accurate records and participate actively in IEP meetings
• Support inclusion and provide input for transition plans where appropriate
