Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Experience providing support to children or adolescents, preferably within educational settings
- Understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and practices
- Effective communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families
- Patience, adaptability, and a compassionate attitude toward learners with behavioral needs
- Ability to maintain detailed records and follow intervention protocols
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver behavior intervention strategies under the guidance of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce positive behaviors and social skills
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and report findings according to established guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach
- Support general classroom activities while using de-escalation and redirection techniques as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and promote a caring, respectful environment for all students
