Job Description

A rewarding opportunity awaits for an experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or ABA Therapist interested in a short-term, part-time contract role working 1:1 with a 5th grade student in an elementary school setting near Rotterdam Junction, NY. This position focuses on providing vital behavioral support and implementing evidence-based interventions specifically tailored to an individual student, for up to 10 hours per week over a 6-week period.

Qualifications/Experience Sought:

  • Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), or relevant experience as an ABA Therapist
  • Experience supporting elementary-aged students, preferably in a school environment
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with 1:1 caseloads
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Compassion, patience, and a commitment to enriching student success

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct behavioral interventions to a single 5th grade student in accordance with outlined plans
  • Collect, record, and summarize behavioral data consistently
  • Collaborate with educators and clinical staff to ensure integrated support strategies
  • Foster a supportive and motivating atmosphere for the students academic and personal growth
  • Adapt interventions to respond to student progress and needs
