A school-based opportunity is available for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Providence, RI. This contract position offers the chance to apply your expertise in behavior analysis within an educational setting, supporting students with individualized needs.
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and record data on student progress and behavior
- Assist with skill acquisition programs and promote positive behavior strategies
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions
- Maintain professional documentation and adhere to ethical guidelines in all tasks
Qualifications:
- Current Rhode Island RBT certification is required
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges in a school environment
- Strong observational and data collection skills
- Ability to follow detailed behavior plans precisely and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Effective communication skills to interact with students, staff, and families
