Job Description

A school-based opportunity is available for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Providence, RI. This contract position offers the chance to apply your expertise in behavior analysis within an educational setting, supporting students with individualized needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Collect and record data on student progress and behavior
  • Assist with skill acquisition programs and promote positive behavior strategies
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions
  • Maintain professional documentation and adhere to ethical guidelines in all tasks

Qualifications:

  • Current Rhode Island RBT certification is required
  • Experience working with children with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges in a school environment
  • Strong observational and data collection skills
  • Ability to follow detailed behavior plans precisely and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Effective communication skills to interact with students, staff, and families
