Job Description

A school district in Port Angeles, Washington is seeking a qualified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a fulltime, schoolbased contract. This position supports K12 students receiving behavioral services by implementing individualized behavior plans under the supervision of a BCBA or other qualified professional. Candidates who are patient, dependable, and passionate about student growth are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies as written
  • Provide 1:1 or smallgroup behavioral support to students
  • Collect and document behavioral data accurately and consistently
  • Support skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and socialemotional development
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and supervising clinicians
  • Assist with classroom support and behavior management strategies
  • Maintain compliance with ethical standards, district policies, and supervision requirements

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
  • Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
  • Certification support may be available for eligible candidates

Education

  • High school diploma or higher required
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field preferred

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children or in a school or behavioral setting preferred
  • New RBTs with appropriate certification are encouraged to apply

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow behavior plans with consistency and attention to detail
  • Strong data collection and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to supporting diverse student populations

Work Hours

  • MondayFriday
  • Schoolday schedule
  • Approximately 3740 hours per week
