Job Description
Make an impact supporting an elementary-aged student with autism as a long-term substitute ABA therapist or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This contract position, located near Hyde Park, offers full-time hours running Monday through Friday and will extend through the remainder of the school year and summer. You'll focus on providing 1:1 support in a sub-separate classroom, using your skills and empathy to help the student succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or ABA Therapist required
- Proven experience working with elementary-aged children, especially those on the autism spectrum
- Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Ability to follow IEPs and collaborate effectively with teaching and therapy teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Compassion, patience, and commitment to supporting student growth
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized ABA therapy and behavior interventions to a single elementary student in a dedicated classroom
- Document student progress, collect data, and adapt strategies as needed
- Implement behavioral support plans under the guidance of supervising clinicians
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for student learning
- Communicate regularly with educators, families, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
- Support the student's academic, social, and emotional development throughout the school year and summer session
