Job Description
Make a meaningful impact every day by supporting students in a dynamic educational environment as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This contract position offers the chance to provide 1:1 support to students from 1st through 12th grade in a welcoming school setting near Long Beach, CA. Youll help foster academic and personal growth, working collaboratively with dedicated staff and families to implement behavioral strategies and provide essential interventions.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RBT certification required
- Experience working with children or adolescents in school settings, preferably with grades 112
- Ability to establish rapport with students across a wide age range
- Strong communication and observational skills
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for advocating for students needs
- Previous experience supporting students in 1:1 environments is a plus
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Responsibilities in this role include:
- Delivering 1:1 behavioral support in the classroom and throughout the school day
- Following individualized behavior intervention plans with fidelity
- Collecting data and documenting student progress
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and administrators to best meet student goals
- Supporting social, emotional, and academic development across multiple grade levels
- Participating in team meetings and ongoing professional development
- Maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students
