Make an immediate impact by supporting students across a broad range of grade levels as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This contract-based opportunity near Long Beach, CA provides the chance to work 1:1 with students from 1st through 12th grade, making a daily difference in their educational experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Ability to engage with students across multiple grade levels (1st12th)
- Knowledge of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 behavioral support to assigned students in the classroom and other school settings
- Implement and follow individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by BCBA supervisors
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately and consistently
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, school staff, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Foster student engagement, emotional regulation, and social skills development
- Adapt strategies to meet the unique learning needs of each student, from elementary through high school
