Job Description

Make a meaningful impact this summer by supporting students in an Autism Summer School program as a Behavior Specialist. In this contract role, youll work closely with a dedicated team to facilitate growth and positive experiences for students with a range of behavioral needs. The schedule offers a true work-life balanceTuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 8 amnoonfrom July 7, 2026, to August 6, 2026.

Ideal candidates have previous experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), ABA Therapist, or Paraprofessional in school settings, and are passionate about working with children displaying mild to severe behaviors.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or higher, or Paraprofessional certification with substantial experience managing a variety of behaviors
  • Current or prior experience as a Registered Behavior Technician, Paraprofessional, or ABA Therapist in educational environments
  • Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis techniques
  • Comfortable supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in both individual and group settings
  • Effective communicator, collaborative, and adaptable to changing classroom needs
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with students to implement behavior intervention plans
  • Support lead teachers in managing classroom dynamics and supporting individualized education goals
  • Assist with data collection and documentation related to behavior goals and student progress
  • Foster an inclusive and positive environment that encourages student growth
  • Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and families to promote continuity of care
  • Respond calmly and effectively to behavioral challenges
