Step into a meaningful role supporting students in an educational setting as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). You'll bring your skills as a certified RBT to partner with teachers, support staff, and families, implementing behavior intervention plans and fostering positive outcomes for students.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Current RBT certification from the BACB in good standing
- Prior experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school or educational environment
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for engaging with multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptable, compassionate, and patient approach in diverse, dynamic settings
- Ability to maintain documentation and uphold confidentiality requirements per FERPA and HIPAA where applicable
Key responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Work directly with students, collecting data on behavioral and academic goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure continuity and consistency in support
- Provide feedback and observations to supervising BCBAs and contribute to team meetings as required
- Utilize evidence-based practices to foster student growth, skill development, and positive behaviors within the school environment
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes consistent with district, state, and ethical guidelines
