This contract role offers the chance to make a lasting difference as you provide specialized support to one non-verbal student who communicates exclusively through American Sign Language (ASL). Key Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Proficiency in American Sign Language required
- Previous experience working with childrenespecially those with special needspreferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt, problem-solve, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted behavior intervention and support to a single elementary-aged student (2nd grade)
- Implement evidence-based strategies per individualized educational and behavioral plans
- Collect data, document progress, and communicate updates with supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and school staff
- Utilize ASL throughout all interactions to ensure meaningful, effective communication
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compassion in all student interactions
