Step into a rewarding role supporting a young learner as a Registered Behavior Technician. This contract position offers the chance to make a direct impact with a dedicated second-grade student who communicates using American Sign Language (ASL). Your expertise will empower student success and growth each school day.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active RBT certification required
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) to effectively communicate with a non-verbal student
- Prior experience working with children in educational or therapeutic settings strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver individualized support
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of a young learner
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 behavior and academic support to a second-grade student who is non-verbal and communicates in ASL
- Implement targeted behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Use ASL to facilitate communication, participation, and social interaction throughout the school day
- Collect accurate data on student progress and behaviors
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment in collaboration with the educational team
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions
Enjoy structured daytime hours, working weekdays for a total of 37.5 hours per week.
