Job Description

This contract position offers the chance to make a direct impact with a dedicated second-grade student who communicates using American Sign Language (ASL). Your expertise will empower student success and growth each school day.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and active RBT certification required
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) to effectively communicate with a non-verbal student
  • Prior experience working with children in educational or therapeutic settings strongly preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver individualized support
  • Compassion, patience, and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of a young learner

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 behavior and academic support to a second-grade student who is non-verbal and communicates in ASL
  • Implement targeted behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Use ASL to facilitate communication, participation, and social interaction throughout the school day
  • Collect accurate data on student progress and behaviors
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment in collaboration with the educational team
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions

Enjoy structured daytime hours, working weekdays for a total of 37.5 hours per week.
