Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team in the Compton area for the 20262027 school year. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with behavioral and developmental needs in a structured, supportive educational setting.
Travel Opportunity:
This role includes paid housing and daily meal stipends for qualified travel candidates.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Provide one-on-one and small group behavioral support to students in classroom and specialized settings.
Collect and record data on student behavior and progress toward goals.
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure consistency in behavior strategies.
Assist in managing challenging behaviors using positive reinforcement and evidence-based practices.
Support students in developing social, communication, and daily living skills.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; Bachelors degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience working with children or individuals with autism or behavioral needs preferred.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting student success.
