Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a behavioral specialist near Central Falls, RI. This opportunity is ideal for those with experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or ABA Therapist, even if your RBT licensure is expired or inactive. You'll work closely with students on a 1:1 basis, making a tangible impact on their learning and personal growth both during the school year and through optional summer assignments.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or ABA Therapist
- Expired or inactive RBT licensure welcomed; must be willing to obtain a Rhode Island Temporary Authorization (TA) certificate
- Commitment to a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week
- Strong communication and observational skills
- Passion for working directly with individual students, supporting their behavioral and educational development
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, individualized behavioral support to assigned students in an educational setting
- Implement individualized ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) plans created by supervising clinicians
- Collect and document behavioral data to monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to create a supportive learning environment
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training as required
