Job Description
Step into a meaningful position supporting a second-grade student as a Registered Behavior Technician. In this contract-based assignment, you'll provide one-on-one behavioral health services in a school environment near Burleson, TX, working with a single non-verbal student who communicates using American Sign Language (ASL). Your expertise and commitment will make a lasting impact as you help this young learner thrive.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience supporting elementary-age children, especially with non-verbal students, is highly valued
- Ability to collaborate with school staff, families, and other specialists
- Strong communication, empathy, and reliability
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions tailored to the individual needs of a single second-grade student
- Translate interventions and communication through ASL for effective support
- Implement behavior and data collection strategies as outlined in the students individualized education plan
- Support the students social, communication, and academic development under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Participate in team meetings and contribute meaningful observations and progress updates
Role Overview:
- Full-time, contract position: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Serve as a dedicated advocate and educator for one young learner
