Take your expertise as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to the next level by supporting students in an engaging and rewarding contract position near Bridgeport, CT. Youll play a pivotal role in a dedicated Transition Program, guiding young learners as they adjust to new educational environments and build vital life skills. This full-time opportunity runs from July 6, 2026, through June 15, 2027, perfectly spanning Extended School Year (ESY) into the New School Year (NSY).
Key Qualifications:
- Certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with updated credentials
- Previous experience in a school setting, preferably with transition-aged students or special education programs
- Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
- Compassionate approach when supporting students with a variety of behavioral and developmental needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the direction of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Collect accurate data and document student progress on goals
- Support students one-on-one or in small group settings to foster independence and self-advocacy
- Adapt strategies to meet the evolving needs of students in the Transition Program
- Participate in team meetings and professional development to ensure best practices
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students
