Job Description

Take your expertise as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to the next level by supporting students in an engaging and rewarding contract position near Bridgeport, CT. Youll play a pivotal role in a dedicated Transition Program, guiding young learners as they adjust to new educational environments and build vital life skills. This full-time opportunity runs from July 6, 2026, through June 15, 2027, perfectly spanning Extended School Year (ESY) into the New School Year (NSY).

Key Qualifications:

  • Certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with updated credentials
  • Previous experience in a school setting, preferably with transition-aged students or special education programs
  • Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and best practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Compassionate approach when supporting students with a variety of behavioral and developmental needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the direction of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
  • Collect accurate data and document student progress on goals
  • Support students one-on-one or in small group settings to foster independence and self-advocacy
  • Adapt strategies to meet the evolving needs of students in the Transition Program
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development to ensure best practices
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students
