Job Description
Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary-aged students as a long-term substitute ABA therapist or Registered Behavior Technician. This contract opportunity, based near Hyde Park, MA, involves working in a sub-separate classroom with a single elementary student diagnosed with autism. You'll provide invaluable one-on-one support, utilizing your behavior intervention skills to make a lasting impact for the remainder of the school year and through the summer session.
Key Qualifications:
- Active ABA or RBT certification
- Prior experience as a Behavior Specialist, ABA Therapist, or Registered Behavior Technician in a school or clinical setting is highly desirable
- Comfortable working with young children, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with teachers, support staff, and families
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized behavioral intervention and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for one elementary school student
- Track progress, collect data, and contribute to ongoing IEP and behavioral plan adjustments
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to maximize student growth and participation
- Create a safe, supportive, and nurturing classroom environment tailored to the student's needs
- Implement consistent, evidence-based teaching and intervention strategies
