Job Description
Make a lasting impact supporting students with special needs by utilizing your expertise as a Registered Behavior Technician. In this contract role, you'll deliver evidence-based behavioral interventions in a supportive school setting near Aurora, IL. Your work will empower students to achieve greater independence and personal growth, all while collaborating closely with educators and other specialists.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification
- Experience implementing ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) instructional techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with IEPs and progress monitoring is preferred
- Ability to work effectively with students ages early childhood through adolescence
- Patience, adaptability, and a compassionate, student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group ABA therapy under the direction of a BCBA
- Collect, record, and summarize behavioral data daily
- Support the development and implementation of individualized student behavior intervention plans
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and staff to reinforce positive behavioral strategies
- Assist students with daily routines, classroom integration, and social skills
- Communicate effectively with instructional teams and families regarding student progress
- Maintain ethical standards and uphold confidentiality at all times
