Key qualifications and experience:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential required
- Prior experience working with children/adolescents in an educational, behavioral health, or similar setting preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to collect, record, and summarize data on student progress
- Knowledge of evidence-based behavior intervention strategies
- Positive attitude, patience, and a passion for helping students succeed
- Comfortable working collaboratively with teachers, behavior analysts, and families
Primary responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavioral intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Support students with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental differences
- Track and report student progress, noting behavioral trends as directed
- Assist with social, emotional, and functional skills teaching
- Foster a safe and supportive learning environment
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training
- Communicate effectively with school staff and families as needed
