Make a meaningful difference as a Registered Behavior Technician by providing essential support to a bright 2nd-grade student who is non-verbal and communicates using American Sign Language. This rewarding contract opportunity allows you to work closely with one student, providing individualized attention and care while fostering a supportive learning environment located in a school setting near Alvarado, TX.
As part of your daily routine, you will work a consistent 37.5 hours per week across five days, collaborating with a dedicated educational team to enrich the students academic and social experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) license required
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience working with school-aged children, ideally in an educational setting
- Compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to implement ABA principles in a structured environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to a 2nd-grade student
- Utilize ASL for effective communication and instructional support
- Collect data on student progress and engage in regular collaboration with teachers and specialists
- Support the development of functional, academic, and social skills
- Implement behavior intervention strategies in accordance with the students individualized plan
