Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid PTA license (Physical Therapist Assistant) required
• Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of physical therapy principles in both healthcare and educational environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with educators, staff, and families
• Demonstrated adaptability to varying caseloads and student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Assist the lead Physical Therapist in evaluating student progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly
• Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and school staff to create supportive classroom environments
• Maintain accurate documentation on therapy sessions, progress notes, and outcomes
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
• Educate staff and families about safe movement practices, exercises, and adaptive strategies
• Ensure compliance with all school district and state health regulations
