Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant near Wheeling, IL. Play an essential role as you provide direct services during a full-time maternity leave coverage from August through October. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a supportive educational setting, working five days per week alongside dedicated staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active IL Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required
  • School-based experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience working with pediatric populations or within K-12 schools is beneficial
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, educators, and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability to address the diverse needs of students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy services as outlined in students individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments to determine students needs and progress
  • Develop and implement therapeutic interventions to support each students goals
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of services provided
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other therapists to foster student success and independence
  • Assist with transition planning and provide insights during IEP meetings as needed

Compensation for this position ranges from $30.00 to $39.50. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
