Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Massachusetts
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged students, is strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of pediatric therapy techniques and interventions
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and therapy teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient documentation and case management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to elementary students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support physical and motor skill development to enhance students participation and success in the school environment
- Assist with functional mobility, adaptive equipment, and classroom modifications as needed
- Engage in regular communication with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation on student progress and therapy outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide insights on students needs and goals
