Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant in the educational setting. Youll play a vital role in helping children access their education and thrive in multiple schools throughout Morrow County. This position offers itinerant coverage across 5-6 locations, providing a diverse and engaging caseload in the 50s, with ongoing reductions. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through June 12th, with the likelihood of continuing through the next school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Oregon PT or PTA license required
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Familiarity with IEP process and direct therapy services
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple school sites
- Genuine interest in supporting pediatric and school-age clients
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students based on individualized education plans
- Conduct assessments and evaluations
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise and recommendations
- Travel between multiple schools to meet students needs
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Provide guidance and support as student needs evolve throughout the school year
This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, where youll have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of students and work alongside committed colleagues dedicated to student success.
