Ideal candidates are passionate about working with children and adolescents in a school environment. Youll use your expertise in physical therapy to assist in developing and implementing treatment plans that foster students independence and participation in school activities.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in California
  • Previous experience as a PTA in a school setting preferred
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and student documentation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, therapists, and families
  • Ability to provide compassionate, student-centered care

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans for students with diverse needs
  • Conduct therapeutic interventions, exercises, and activities as prescribed
  • Monitor and record students progress, reporting observations to supervising therapists
  • Support students in achieving motor skills that enable their success in the school environment
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals
  • Communicate with educational staff and families regarding student progress and recommendations
