Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving students during the 2026-27 school year as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a dynamic educational environment. This role spans the entire academic year, from early August through late May, and supports a dedicated school community. Work closely with students, collaborate with educators and therapists, and contribute to individualized educational plans that promote student success and well-being.
Key Requirements & Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license meeting all state legal requirements
- Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for interfacing with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop and implement therapeutic interventions according to students needs
- Organizational skills to manage multiple cases and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment through the academic calendar (anticipated August 4, 2026 May 27, 2027)
- All necessary credentials must be up to date prior to start
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals and therapy plans
- Document progress, maintain records, and report data to ensure compliance with school and legal standards
- Consult regularly with school staff and participate in meetings to support student outcomes
- Adjust techniques and materials to accommodate student-specific requirements and optimize engagement
- Maintain a flexible, collaborative approach within the school setting
