Job Description

This part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) opportunity offers the chance to provide specialized therapy services to preschool-aged students in a dynamic school setting located in Mesa, AZ. Working three days per week across two locations, the role is contract-to-hire and ideal for a licensed PTA with experience supporting pediatric populations in educational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy services to preschool students in school settings
  • Document and maintain accurate progress notes in support of the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Collaborate effectively with the supervising PT to manage an assigned caseload
  • Navigate itinerant duties, providing services at two school sites: two days per week in Chandler and one day per week in West Phoenix

Qualifications and Credentials:

  • Active Arizona PTA license required
  • IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card for working within schools
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
  • Ability to provide thorough, timely therapy documentation and progress reports
  • Comfortable working across multiple sites in an itinerant capacity

Additional Details:

  • Start date is ASAP with contract continuing through the end of the academic year (exact dates TBD)
  • Supervision and support provided by the districts licensed Physical Therapist
  • Interview options include Zoom or in-person formats, with an expedited decision process
  • Details regarding therapy space, IEP system, indirect/admin time, and travel will be shared during onboarding
