Qualifications and Experience:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
• Prior experience providing therapy in school or pediatric environments preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and documentation
• Skilled in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and families
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt treatment strategies to meet diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out physical therapy interventions as outlined in student IEPs under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Implement exercises and therapeutic activities designed to improve student mobility, balance, strength, and participation in classroom activities
• Accurately document therapy sessions, progress, and adjustments
• Support students in achieving functional independence and classroom access
• Provide guidance to educational staff on safe student handling and positioning
• Contribute to assessment and planning meetings as part of the student support team
