Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential physical therapy support in a school-based setting for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. Skills and Experience Desired:
- Valid and active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in accordance with state standards
- Previous experience in a school setting or working with pediatric populations is a plus
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, therapists, and families
- Adaptability and resourcefulness in a dynamic educational environment
- Ability to maintain detailed records and follow individualized education plans (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Support students in achieving their mobility, motor, and functional goals as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate with education teams to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Track progress and document session notes efficiently and accurately
- Work within the academic calendar from August 4, 2026, to May 27, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours (following the schools calendar)
- Adjust to a caseload determined at placement, ensuring each students needs are met according to best practices
