Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in California
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to implement physical therapy plans and support the supervising Physical Therapists directives
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering physical therapy interventions to students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Support the development of students mobility, strength, and functional independence within the educational environment
  • Document student progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with school and district policy
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
  • Adapt activities and materials to meet the diverse needs of students in the school setting
  • Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00 to $60.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
