Job Description
Step into a key support role for students across multiple schools in Morrow County as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant. This contract opportunity allows you to make a wide-reaching impact, working across 5-6 school sites and helping a diverse caseload. Full-time (37.5 hours/week), this position is available to start immediately and is projected to continue through the next school year.
Shape students educational journeys by providing thorough assessments, direct therapy, and contributing your expertise during IEP meetings. Enjoy the variety of an itinerant schedule supporting multiple sites, all while collaborating closely with educators, families, and fellow specialists.
What Youll Bring:
- Current Oregon PTA or PT license (required)
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric therapy setting preferred
- Ability to efficiently travel between multiple school sites in Morrow County
- Strong skills in assessment, documentation, and direct therapy
- Confidence attending and participating in IEP meetings
- Team-focused approach and effective communication with students and staff
- Commitment to fostering inclusivity and student success
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for students in need of PT services
- Deliver direct, individualized, and group therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teachers and IEP teams to develop functional goals and plans
- Maintain organized and compliant documentation
- Communicate support strategies to classroom teams and families
- Travel between assigned schools as needed
- Monitor and adjust therapy plans throughout the academic year
This position offers an immediate start with a contract scheduled through mid-June, and strong potential to be extended for the following academic year. The caseload is currently in the 50s but is expected to decrease, allowing for an even more focused approach.
