Job Description

Youll bring your expertise as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant to help students thrive academically and physically, collaborating closely with the educational team.

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois PT or PTA license
  • Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
  • Solid communication and collaboration skills when working with educators, students, and families
  • Commitment to evidence-based therapy practices
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying caseload needs across student populations

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students in alignment with their individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute strategies that support student access to educational programming
  • Document progress clearly and efficiently, maintaining compliance with school and state regulations
  • Educate school staff and families about therapy practices when appropriate
  • Adjust interventions and schedules as needed to support student goals throughout the assignment
  • Collaborate with other support staff and administration to foster a positive learning environment
