Job Description

Looking for a unique summer opportunity to support students' physical development? A part-time onsite role is open for a licensed Physical Therapist to work at a school near Zeeland, MI. In this contract position, you'll play an essential part in helping students reach their fullest potential, collaborating with a welcoming educational team in a rewarding summer school setting.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Active Michigan Physical Therapist (MI PT) License required
  • Experience working with pediatric populations or in a school environment is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff
  • Flexibility to adapt therapy approaches for individual student needs
  • Previous school-based PT experience is a plus, but not mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy services to students, supporting their growth and independence during summer school
  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into students' daily activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, attendance, and communications
  • Participate in IEP meetings as needed and contribute to team-based decision making
