Job Description

Step into a rewarding journey supporting K-12 students as a Physical Therapist during the 2026-2027 school year in a dynamic educational environment near Yelm, WA. This full-time contract opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week, working closely with a diverse caseload of 25-30 students across the district. This onsite role provides the unique chance to collaborate with fellow professionals, helping students achieve their fullest physical potential in engaging and inclusive school settings.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in Washington State or eligibility and willingness to obtain WA PT licensure.
  • Commitment to in-person services; virtual/remote candidates are not considered for this position.
  • Willingness to undergo OSPI fingerprinting or obtain necessary clearances prior to start.
  • Experience in school-based PT or a strong passion for working with K-12 students in educational environments.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills to coordinate services across multiple schools.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments for K-12 students, developing and implementing individualized physical therapy interventions to foster optimal mobility and independence.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other multidisciplinary team members to create IEP goals and participate in meetings.
  • Support students across various school sites throughout the district.
  • Provide ongoing progress monitoring, documentation, and adjustment of treatment plans to ensure best outcomes.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive, student-centered culture.
