Job Description

What We Are Looking For:

  • Masters degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current Michigan physical therapist license
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt to varied caseloads ranging from elementary through high school
  • Compassionate mindset and commitment to supporting students' diverse needs
  • Organizational skills for managing schedules, documentation, and progress tracking

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students motor skills and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in elementary, middle, and high schools
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other specialists to maximize student success
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and Medicaid billing in accordance with district and legal requirements
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute recommendations for student accommodations
  • Adapt therapeutic interventions to school environments and student goals
  • Support staff with strategies and training to encourage student participation and safety
