Step into an impactful role supporting students across all grade levels as a full-time physical therapist for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through June 2027 and offers the chance to make a difference every day in a vibrant educational environment. The position is based in the district, serving K-12 students and working Monday through Friday for 32-37.5 hours a week.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Doctorate or Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current PT licensure in Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain promptly)
- Previous work with pediatric or school-aged populations strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff
- Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student needs and grade levels
- Willingness to work in person across district sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for K-12 students
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to support students educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families on IEP planning and student progress
- Maintain clear documentation of interventions, progress, and communications as required
- Provide training or resources to school staff as needed to support students physical development
- Travel between district schools to serve the assigned caseload
