Make a meaningful impact supporting students at all grade levels, from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, as a contract physical therapist for the 2025-2026 academic year. This part-time opportunity allows you to focus your expertise on fostering physical development and helping students reach their full potential within an inclusive educational environment. With the flexibility of working 1-2 days per week, youll provide valuable services to those who need it mostall while balancing your personal schedule and professional goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and current Physical Therapist certification, with eligibility to practice in Connecticut
- Proven experience working in school settings
- Comfortable serving a wide age range (PreK-12th grade)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and other school-based professionals
- Committed to adaptive support, creative approaches, and patient, student-centered care
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical therapy assessments and periodic evaluations for students with diverse needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily classroom routines
- Offer guidance and resources for educators and families to reinforce therapy goals
- Promote student engagement and independence throughout school activities
