Take on a rewarding summer contract opportunity in Wilbraham, MA, supporting students as a Physical Therapist during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. Key Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist license is required
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy strongly preferred
- Expert communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students needs
- Flexible and adaptive approach to working with teams and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students enrolled in the ESY program
- Conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations to determine students therapeutic needs and progress
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and parents to develop and follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Foster a supportive and positive environment to encourage student engagement and independence
- Participate in team meetings and communicate progress and recommendations as needed
