Job Description

A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed Physical Therapist to provide school-based therapy services within a K-12 educational setting. This role requires a dedicated healthcare professional to support students' physical development and functional abilities, collaborating closely with educators and families.

Location: Whittier, CA
Contract Duration: Full school year
Hours: 30.5 hours per week, 5 days a week
Age Group: Kindergarten through 12th grade

Key Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid California Physical Therapist License
  • Experience or interest in pediatric physical therapy, specifically in school settings
  • Ability to work effectively with children across a broad age range
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation to collaborate with school staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and deliver individualized physical therapy interventions for students with diverse needs
  • Develop and implement therapy goals aligned with educational objectives
  • Consult and collaborate with educators, parents, and other therapists to ensure integrated care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and school district guidelines
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to support student success
