Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Hold an active New Mexico physical therapist license.
  • Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with IEP development, progress documentation, and goal-setting for students.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Passion for helping children and adolescents achieve greater independence and mobility.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy programs for students at various grade levels.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to integrate therapy into educational goals.
  • Evaluate student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings.
  • Provide direct therapy services and consultative support based on student needs.
  • Adapt interventions for diverse learning and physical abilities.
  • Participate in professional development relevant to school-based practice.
