Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
• Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
• Skilled in documentation, progress monitoring, and communication with families and staff
• Strong organization and time-management abilities
• Comfortable collaborating within a multidisciplinary team of educators and support professionals

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop tailored intervention plans to address motor skills, mobility challenges, and promote physical independence in students
• Deliver direct therapy sessions and consultative support in both inclusive classroom and individualized settings
• Educate teachers, support staff, and families on adaptive techniques and equipment to foster student access and participation
• Document treatment outcomes, progress notes, and ensure compliance with IEPs and state guidelines
• Take part in IEP meetings and provide recommendations to educational teams for best outcomes
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of student care
