Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in Connecticut
• Experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Solid interpersonal skills for collaboration with educators, administrators, families, and other related service providers
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and motivating environment for students with diverse needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations for middle school students and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver direct physical therapy services tailored to each students IEP goals, including motor skills, mobility, balance, and coordination
• Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to integrate therapy into daily activities and adapt educational environments as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, progress notes, and communications
• Actively participate in IEP meetings and share recommendations with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide education and support to staff and families to ensure consistency beyond therapy sessions
