Job Title: School Physical Therapist

Job Type: Contract, Part Time

Sunbelt is a healthcare agency specializing in providing school-based therapy services to schools around the country. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality care and making a positive impact in the lives of students. We are currently seeking skilled Physical Therapists to join our team on a contract basis and support schools.
 
Job Details:

• Part time - 3 days/week
• K-8th grade

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities
• Collaborate with school staff and Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams to develop individualized treatment plans and goals for students
• Provide direct physical therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
• Adapt classroom environments, equipment, and materials to promote accessibility and facilitate student participation
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, special education staff, parents, and other professionals involved in the students' care
• Document student progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information according to agency and school guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate goals and accommodations for students
• Stay updated on current research, best practices, and relevant laws and regulations in school-based physical therapy

Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts Physical Therapy license
• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
• Previous experience as a School Physical Therapist is preferred, but new graduates with relevant fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and IEP team members
