Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students from Pre-K through 8th grade in a supportive, contract-based role. This opportunity is based near Waukegan, IL, and is ideal for a Physical Therapist who is passionate about working in school environments and helping children thrive.
You will collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations, ensuring each students physical therapy needs are identified and addressed. With a manageable caseload and a consistent scheduleworking two days per week (approximately 16 hours)youll be able to provide focused, high-quality care.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting preferred
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with team members, educators, and parents
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Familiarity with IEPs and school-based therapy protocols
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and re-evaluations for Pre-K through 8th grade students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other therapists to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of each students educational experience
- Support students progress toward their physical development goals through evidence-based interventions
