This rewarding contract opportunity focuses on providing high-quality physical therapy services across one elementary and one middle school, two days per week, beginning in August. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team in Waukegan, IL, helping students reach their fullest potential through compassionate, evidence-based practices.
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare settings preferred
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy programs
- Flexibility to adapt interventions for elementary and middle school age groups
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students motor and functional abilities within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and parents
- Document progress and maintain accurate records following school and legal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings to advocate for student needs and contribute professional insight
- Educate school staff and families on strategies to support student mobility and participation
