Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as an itinerant Physical Therapist in the vibrant Virginia Beach area, with assignments across multiple schools. This position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, starting August 11, 2026, and ending May 29, 2027. You'll play a vital role in helping students build mobility and independence, working alongside dedicated educators and related service professionals.

What youll bring:

• Current and valid Virginia Physical Therapist license
• Experience in a school-based (K-12) setting strongly preferred
• Ability to manage a diverse, itinerant caseload and adapt to various school environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Organizational skills and flexibility to travel between assigned schools
• Dedication to supporting student success and inclusion

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver a full range of physical therapy services to K-12 students, in alignment with IEP goals
• Evaluate, document, and monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Provide direct therapy, consultations, and training to staff to maximize student participation and safety
• Actively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, presenting findings and recommendations
• Maintain thorough, timely records in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Adhere to all district, state, and federal requirements, including completion of fingerprinting and onboarding steps

This contract offers a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours and the chance to make meaningful connections with students across multiple campuses. The interview process will be conducted virtually, ensuring a convenient and streamlined hiring experience, with decisions typically made within 48 hours.
