What you'll bring:
- Current and active Physical Therapist (PT) license in South Carolina
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with children, families, and educators
- Willingness to travel between multiple school sites (mileage reimbursed)
- Flexibility, organization, and adaptability in a dynamic environment
Role responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students, focusing on functional mobility and participation in the educational setting
- Collaborate with teachers and educational teams to support students academic and physical goals
- Provide direct PT services to students, track progress, and modify interventions as needed
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expertise to team planning
- Maintain accurate and timely records according to district and regulatory standards
- Offer training and support to school staff and families to ensure carryover of therapeutic strategies
This contract role spans the academic year from July 2026 through May 2027, ensuring a predictable schedule of 37.5 hours each week. With the chance to work onsite only, you'll become an integral part of the school community.
